Because you simply get blue ray technology for DVDs and who will utilize that? No one. That is simply a price for playing games. The good alternative is Wii Nintendo's new system for under 299 US or even cheaper for 199.99 US. Nintendo not only is offering consumers a fun and affordable system to play but also they make very good profit on it.

The third issue and biggest and most important of all is the software. Sony has strong repetitions in that area but the rivals are catching up to it. M$ has got very strong games coming out. In other hand Nintendo has surprised many with its new library of games such Red Steels, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princesses and Sadness. Therefore Nintendo won't be BIG N Anymore with Mario only for kids but also for hardcore gamers alike.
